Major Activity for The Wolfmen Starting February '09
29 January 2009
February sees the start of a busy schedule for The Wolfmen .
If you haven't done so already, you can pre-order the new single, get yourself ready for samplers from the new album, listen in to Marco and Chris on NME Radio, and if that isn't enough, catch their cameo appearance in Dogging - A Love Story . Many thanks to Ian Peel and Marco Pirroni for the heads up on this.
The Wolfmen have some major activity this month, and are beginning to set up label meetings for their 2009 releases.
The next single - a AA-side of "Wak This Bass "/"Cecilie " is out on 02 March 2009 and has already been A-listed on NME Radio. It's
getting played on all NME shows every day, as well as the new E4/Skins
radio channel.
Chris and Marco will be live in the studio on
Thursday 05 February with NME's Neil Cole. This has generated a great
deal of interest in 2008's "Modernity Killed Every Night " album, as well as their releases, movie placements and gigs for this year. Talking of which...:
"Married To The Eiffel Tower "
- is the new album, samplers for which will be available in two weeks
time. A first single is scheduled for 27 April 2009, with the album
itself out 11 May 2009. As well as a string of live gigs, the band are
also preparing an acoustic session/podcast and running a video diary of
the making of the album, see their youtube channel linked below.
"Dogging - A Love Story "
- premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival on 26 January
2009 and comes to the UK next month. It features soundtrack songs and a
cameo from The Wolfmen .
While "Wak This Bass " and previous releases have either been released on indie label Damaged Goods or their own label Howl , they are currently looking to license "Married To The Eiffel Tower " and its singles in all territories... Please contact them if you can help with this.
NME Radio (At time of typing this up - NME Radio is unavailable.)
